NEV Platinum Audax

June 4th was our very first NEV organised Audax, beautifully planned by our very own Mick Savage. And from what I can gather a fabulous time was had by all

Starting at The Compasses in Littley Green and with the promise of a pint after, our intrepid cyclists set off maps in hand (and garmin routes downloaded) to find various points to prove the route had been done. With 100k and 50k routes to choose from there was something for everyone, whilst the weather wasn't the best it certainly didn't dampen any spirits on the treasure hunt without treasure, and no one got lost, especially not a ride leader, 🤔😉, a few photos from the start of the event taken by Peteski (Thankyou as always) hopefully this will be repeated next year so we can make it bigger and better

I was disappointed that the route was not marked out . Any suggestions as to the best way to navigate it in future ?

Replying to

I believe there was a garmin download, and also as written an Audax is a self navigated course, no route markers no Marshalls etc, but I'm sure someone with more audax knowledge can advise, hopefully you will be doing the ART NEV sportive in July (24th) which will be fully marshalled and sign posted xx
